Squiggly & Spun

You know what I love? I love the squiggly way handspun singles look before you finish and thwack them to set the twist.

I’m sharing this picture, because I want you to know that it’s totally okay if you’ve spun for a singles yarn and it all scrunches up on you like this.

This is totally normal.

Once it’s had its spa treatment and some good thwacking (me? I choose to bang most of my finished yarns against the shower wall), it’ll all straighten out nicely.

It’s soft and lovely. A little bit of halo. A lotta drape. A drop of shine.

785 yards of fingering weight singles from 8 ounces of Wensleydale I dyed in my kitchen. I call the color Harvest Table.

Happy Weekend, friends!
