Just Keep Spinning, Just Keep Spinning

This morning, I made it through the third bump and well into the fourth of my eight-bump spin.

It’s not going terribly fast, but it’s a heckuva lot faster than if I were trying to spin fine fine fine.

I only have six bobbins, so I’m trying my darndest to spin 4 ounces onto each one. At some point, I’ll be taking a break to ply, and then I’ll continue on until I’m all through.

I’m just now reaching the point where the novelty of spinning long draw for a change, and the joy of experiencing a new-to-me breed (Gulf Coast Native) is starting to wear off.

I’m still enjoying it, but I’m starting to crave some color. If it weren’t January, and if my reducing-stash goals weren’t still firmly in mind, this would be reallllly dangerous.

As it is, everything in the stash just got a little noisier. A little more insistent.

But I’m determined. I’m gonna finish this up first. I swear it.

Happy Monday, Friends!
