How about some finished handspun for your Thursday browsing?
Yes?
Here goes!
What began as 8 ounces of Polwarth from Southern Cross Fibre in the colorway Trickster (October 2012 Club):
Was spun (and spun) into a single around 22 wpi, as I was planning to n-ply it for something aran weight:
And we have yarn!
I stripped the top in half, and then in half again, aiming to get narrower stripes. And, once again, the SCF pretty much spins itself, then sits around casting come-hither eyes at you…
Because I’m sorta kinda hoping this’ll turn into a pair of funky, bright legwarmers. And oh boy, it’d be fun to cast on. But not yet.
336 yards, n-plied, aran weight

Oooo! Lovely! This will look wonderful knit up as legwarmers!
Thanks! It’s hard to resist casting on right away sometimes…
Beautiful, bright colors should make this yarn fun to knit. Nice job!
Oh how fun! You had 8oz of it! I was wondering how you would get leg warmers from 4oz.
It turned out beautifully!
YUM! Those colors will make PERFECT legwarmers.
